It’s Saturday 1:24pm, you are nestled in the vineyards, a crisp glass of Riesling daintily resting in your right hand, in the other, a lamb sandwich, slow cooked and piled high with zesty gremolata. A tart piece of cos falls to the ground, you pick it up because the 2 second rule just doesn’t seem to apply here. Hopefully this could be you this coming Saturday and Sunday! Sandoochie is teaming up with @yarrhwines as part of the stomp wine festival. There will be cold wines and hot sangas. We can’t wait to see you there.

Oli and Lucy from @somecafecollector Collector are making the 45 minute trip up the Hume for sandoochie’s next celebrity dooch. Some cafe is the most inviting, humble and toothsome venue this side of the Nullarbor.

The building that some cafe is nestled in has been around since 1829 - expect to taste the annals of history in their curried egg sandwich. Think lashings of whole egg mayonnaise, eggs from their folk’s farm, helpings of butter, crispy capers, iceberg torn like an old tax receipt, all on @under_bakery bread. It will be drippy. The guys are also bringing a bunch their pickles, spreads and tings to sell - plus carrot cake.

You’ll want to hook this cauliflower dooch to your veins. To make the pumpkin dip, Kent pumpkins are blackened with pomegranate molasses in the oven. The cauliflower is fried, tossed in a date caramel, then topped with crispy curry leaves. It’s sahhh good.

Louise cake is a sumptuous treat from our New Zealand friends across the pond. It like an iced vovo that’s been inflated and when there is a strong shortbread base it creates it’s own shadow. It’s sweet and sour and feel likes like the warm embrace of your nan. Come eat it for the rest of the week at The Dooch.

This coming Tuesday, the dooch is very fortunate to have Aidan Kidson of @paranormalwines crafting a celebrity dooch for us. It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last. Aidans food is truely soul warming and nostalgic. I imagine Aidan owning a little bar one day where he plays full albums of his favourite records, everyone’s having cold white wine and eating standing up, off metal plates letting whatever delicious things he’s crafted not drip down their fronts. We have gone pretty hard on everything so we should have a fair few to offer. Bring your bibs - Tuesday from 11.
